Our secret hide out!
what happens to your family if you babysit OTHER peoples children everyday? (from 7-6?) It gives you no time! It IS a full time job to raise children. (throw a couple extra in there and I consider it TIME AND A HALF! I know what my pay SHOULD be.) I do really love my job, it permits me to stay at home with my kids; to be the guiding force in their wild and wacky lives. BUT with kids in and out of my house all day long it does put a strain on the time that I typically would be committing to my babes.
...you have the cooking, cleaning, nose/butt wiping, refereeing job to not only your own two kids but now two more [two year olds to boot].
SO If I can't sneak to our hiding place at least an evening or two each week than I'm a pretty crappy mom. By my standard of course.
So we go play...
Then we go home to get money and change a pee-pee girl...
Oh those darn ice cream trucks, Mason lays the guilt on THICK when he starts to hear the music...
"MOMMY REMEMBER I HAD TO SHARE MY LAST SNACK PACK WITH KRISTOPHER??" ::shouting at me from a limb on a dangerously high tree:: "I NEED Ice Cream!!"
So we (typically) enjoy some ice cream....REALLY messy ice cream. That they share ;-)
Thursday
My Little Dum-Dums!
Children are a wonderful gift from God and our family has been blessed with two (precious) gifts!
MAN ARE THEY UNIQUE!
Mason and Terri Jade both have eccentric personalities. They are the most sweet and snuggly babies, but MAN ARE THEY WACKY! (where oh where did they inherit that from??)
Mason and Terri both know how to ham it up, they can turn it on on demand! But temperssss ohhh my! But I guess that is just so much of their mommy and daddy coming out of them. I guess I'm just a SUCKER (for them) and that would make them my little dum-dums!
[My little mini mes.]
I don't know why people choose to have abortions, or why some people choose not to ever have children. But I guess its your life and you the ones that are missing out. I have so much sympathy for those longing to carry or hold a child in their arms and know that child will be molded by them, calling out to them for help in their times of need.
I wasn't "supposed" to have children. At 17 I had to be hospitalized for severe pelvic pain Later finding out that I have PSOC as well as endometriosis. So many times I heard, "oh your not a typical pcos candidate" or "I thought you had to be obese to have pcos."NO you don't. I was told, "you might not be able to have children", or "it will be hard to carry". It was. PERIOD. ...BUT I know it was the Lords will for me to carry and conceive these two, (we came back from the honeymoon with one little blessing!!)[after being told and told that it wouldn't happen IT DID and twice] Prayer works and I know how detrimental it is when you have a doctor telling you its not possible, but I say DON'T give up on the Lord! He will show you the way!
ALL I can say is that my children are the second best gift that God ever gave me! The First?
....John 3:16... For God so love the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

BACK!
Merry Christmas and HAPPY NEW Year to allllll!
I went on another blogging vacation! But NoW I'm baaacck!
How about a quick Christmas update with lots of pictures?
We had a Family Christmas party at the in-laws on Saturday the 22nd.....
It went well! The kids were definitely spoiled! :-) One of Masons gifts was this bos of musical toys. Ohh did that turn into fun...
Think about it, adults (with wine in them) and a 5YO wanting to "break in" his new musical instruments on Christmas. I think Clint and Doug ended up on the porch on purpose!
We did the white elephant gifts....
I got a (ORIGINALLY) box full of lotto tickets, which Clints uncle Kelly took off my hands. THEN Clints turn came around and he TOOK THEM BACK off Kellys hands. (I think we won $20! :-D) and I ended up with a Yankee Candle! YUMM I love em!
So HERE YA GO~~~>
Saturday
MMMMM ITALIAN FOOD!
Look NO KIDS! HA! I love them babies but COME ON....an hour(+) wait is bad enough with 6 hungry adults but NO kids whining or running around OR UNDER THE TABLE!
I snapped this shot while we were waiting on our table.
L to R~~~>
Clint (the not to thrilled hubby) Doug (my not to thrilled FIL), Josepine (the owner of the restaurants SIL...we know them well), Joy (my MIL that laid out of work :-D), Joyce and Kelly (Clints uncle and Aunt)
and NO the empty chair with the HUGE ashtray in front of it ISNOT MINE! That would be my SMOKIN hot hubbies! [CIGARETTES = EW~]
The FOOD was worth the wait. At least they kept the appitzers coming while we were waiting! :-D We ended up picking up Terri after we were done eating. We just KNEW that she would wake up their whole house at her normal 1 am wake n cry!

When it Rains it pours!
Saturday I was at a friends house for her stepdaughters birthday.
The day went fairly well...a little hot.
Clint left and while he was gone he received a phone call from his Uncle Kelly.
His cousin Christys longtime boyfriend Rob, was in a motorcycle accident.
Clint went to CMC where Rob was airlifted and called me at 9p.m. to let me know that he had passed.
Later on he found out that after doing 7 blood transfusions Rob, who had lost his leg in the accident had died 30 minutes after arriving at the hospital.
I met Rob about the same time I met Christy, shortly after me and Clint started seeing each other.
I am going to be honest and write EXACTLY what I am thinking and I am not trying to offend anyone.
You see Christy is bipolar. She is on lithium and xanax to deal with everyday life. So this is like a tree falling on top of her. Its crushing her and she doesn't know how to escape.
Rob and Christy were next door neighbors before moving in together so they have known each other for a long time. This accident is tough for the family b/c honestly they never thought anyone could be with Christy for so long. He was great with her. They were with us at the beach this past labor day week. Though neither of them want kids they were great with ours.
Christy is EXTREMEly sweet, but I know that this is sending her to a major low.
When Evelyn (Clint and Christys grandmother) passed away two years ago, Christy had a verrrry hard time dealing with it. That was someone that helped raise her and was there for her whenever she was in need. BUT Rob was the one that helped her through that. They lived together, slept, ate, and breathed together. He was her other half. I am so worried for her.
She only wants Clint right now, b/c he lost his mother. I know that Terry (Clints mom that committed suicide 6 years ago) was a role model to Christy, I just pray that she doesn't go to the extreme like Terry.
I am sorry to keep on posting all of these tragedies on you guys.
But When it rains it pours! I am confident that the Lord will not put more on her than she can take and like I said with Baby Bryson, He does everything to glorify Him!
Thursday
LAST MINUTE costume changes for the kids!
YEP you heard me...my kidlets had a mind change last minute last night. Terri was going to be the beautiful witch with the little tutu. Mason was going to be Spiderman ....again for the thrid year in a row.
THe day started off all wrong...missed naps, late appointments, forgot money for the grocery store and I let my grandmother in my car, need I say more? I should have expected my kids to be frazzled!
::big breath:: Oh but at least I got a picture of me in my cute lit'l black Cracker Barrel shirt I've had for three years and Have never been able to find on Halloween.

Click to enlarge and take in the MAJOR cuteness of "THE FACE"!!!
SO the costumes...
I DID get the tutu on Terri but I kind of just wedged the hat in the stoller and left her in there. I NEVER took her out!! ha ha!! I walked up to the doors and said oh the baby is down there. ::giggling:: Everyone of course thought she was adorable~
MASON ON THE OTHER HAND...got a hand me down "Scream" costume last minute from my 8YO cousin and HAD to wear it. UGH!!! I really don't wanna promote the goolish "evil" side of Halloween. But ya know what could I do? YES I could have said no, but he is still too young to know the evil. He just wanted it b/c it was his older cook cousins.
Here Ya Go~~~~>
I put a purple dress on Terri and a black long sleeved Old Navy top. PERFECT with the cool evening! Oh and a little fairy dust on her cheeks! :-) Mason was so JACKED up on candy by the 12th house we called it a night! We went to my best friends parents neighborhood. THEY HAVE THE BEST candy!! Oh and the decorations are awesome. Fog machines and hay rides. Those people sure do know how to spend their money! :-) Oh and some of them just leave huge buckets on their porch with FULL SIZED play Doh, Pop corn, and choose your own candy!! ♥ THAT!!
After Trick or Treating we went to my inlaws and Terri Jade was lovin up on her MaMa Joy and her PaPa Doug while her big brother ran some of that sugar off!
OHH THE FUNNIEST THING....Before we left our house a trick or treater came up and all I heard Clint say was "Dude what are you like 40?"
I nearly fell on the floor laughing! This boy was 11 and looked like he was in his twenties. He just started laughing! Whats up with that? People KEEP your teenagers HOME! I saw some young girls walking around looking like Hookers (NO REALLY that was their costumes)
and they couldn't have been 15 or 16 tops. These girls had as much cleavage as me when my milk came in. I felt sorry for their parents! TERRI WILL BE ON A SHORT LEASH!
Saturday
My MILs surprise 60th (editted version at 1:30 am)
Okay so my SisterInLaws/FatherInLaw and myself threw my MotherInLaw a surprise 60th birthday party....

Alot of Getting Purdy (pretty)ALOT of FOOD...
alot of people, and alot of fun!
We parked all of the cars on the next street over and had everyone "shuttled" to the house. We did the turn out the lights thing and then....
Sorry for the poor quality, it was on night vision then they turned on the lights. (Clint you brat!)
She did NOT know that Marcia(her daughter/my SIL) flew in from Florida with baby Nathan. SOooooOOOo after the initial excitement we pulled them out of the back room. Her reaction?
ohh and my title just means that I planned on just posting a picture of her shocked face (NOW AT 2 a.m.) INSTEAD I added alot of pictures! BLAH! I am TIRED!
Tuesday
Blog Under Construction and a Family Picture Fight~
Template STILL under construction...
Yes it is still a work in progress!! I got into it today while the babies were napping and manges to COMPLETELY screw up my page! I had to get help from the professionals!
********************************
Tonight I did manage to load up the kiddos and head over to Clints grandmothers house. I haven't got to see her or his Aunt Chrissie in a while. BUT I know they DO read my blog and they EXPECT daily reports and plenty of pictures. Chrissie actually asked me WHY I hadn't wrote today. Like it was a bad thing. MY BRAIN NEEDS A REST WOMAN!! You got to see two of the many reasons I stay so busy tonight. (they were on a LOW by the way ;-D)
We kind of got into a camera war! She kept trying to get my picture and I kept trying to get hers. Not like we don't know what each other looks like. But she hates to be photographed about HALF as much as I do! I told her I wouldn't put her out there....BUT I LIED!!!!! MWAH HA HA HA HAAAAA!! No I'm kidding. I won't publish ALL the pictures I got of her hand infront of the camera or her face. but I will add this one of her and Terri.
See Crissie I didn't add it so that everyone could enlarge it either! Tell you what, IF you send me that ridiculous picture by 2pm tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) I will post it! PROMISE!
Oh and Mason was too busy playing with the cat in the sac and switching the dogs heads to get caught in the middle of the picture "fight". ;-)
********************************
Well folks she DIDN'T get the picture to me by 2 today..but I AM a good sport. So here goes nothing!
Wednesday
WORDLESS WEDNESDAY!!!!!!
Daddy took Terri and myself to to the old Chuck E Cheese yesterday and BEFORE we walked in the first thing we saw was this~~~~>
Beach Trip 2OO7
We left for the beach on Saturday and got back last night. It was a short trip but it was much much needed. I haven't been anywhere this year. Except for the trip to my moms in January. We rode down with my in laws in their motor home and we stayed just a few miles away from the rest of Clints family. He couldn't go with us because he had some meetings on Monday and Yesterday but we kept him posted on all the fun. =-)
The kids rode in their car seats for about the first 45 minutes...until they realized that I was up and moving around and then of course I opened Pandora's box. (I'm so weak) At first Mason crawled up on the couch and took a nap...and Terri just stayed on Grandma Joys lap...then we hit a Wal-Mart in Wadesboro about an hour away and LOADED UP! Clint gets it honest...he loves him some Wal-Mart just like his dad. We went in for disposable diapers and toothbrushes, then Doug told Mason to go with him to the toy section. (He had to get a new helicopter for his collection...Doug that is) He released Mason to go get what ever he wanted and Mason goes to the cheapo 88cent wall. What is wrong with that kid? He could have grabbed ANYTHING but all he wanted was some bubba teeth. Then we explained that Mason you can get WHATEVER YOU WANT {::big emphasis on anything::} then Mason said..."weally? can I have two bubba teeth?"::slaps forehead:: I give up. PaPa Doug went ahead and grabbed him some army men and that turned out to be a great idea. Little did they know that Mason would carry those bubba teeth with him to the bathroom, to the beach, pool, and even when he ate...every where.
So when we got there on Saturday evening we went to Aunt Pattys beach house which ended up being right across from Uncle Kelly. We ate the BEST pizza and wings...YUMMY! Kelly rented a house for the week and had no clue how close he would be to his sister. (right across the street) Which is perfect b/c we all stayed together the entire time anyways. Clints family does this trip to Ocean Isle once a year in August ...well for a long time. Its like a family tradition. My in laws used to stay in their condo at N.Mrytle but they sold it last year. (WAAAAAAHHHHH)
So anyways when we got ready to go the beach for the first time on Sunday morning guess who was grumpy and ready for a nap? Terri! Yep. I laid her down and no lie she took a two hour nap. In the mean time Mason had been abducted by Kelly and they both were being beat up by the ocean. After about a half an hour I noticed the cousins were missing. Clint has only two cousins on his dads side Heather and Christy (neither are married or have children). So Clint is the baby of the family with the only babies in the family. (Mason and Terri Jade.) So I go on a hunt for them. Of course my little leach follows me. Where do we find them? AT THE POOL! Yep Kellys house had a private pool and these girls and their guys had snuck off and left me with the SAND! Whats up with being a kid and LOVING the beach and being an adult and HATING the sand I mean it really stinks. I don't think Terri touched the sand the whole time we were there. So after about an hour I went to check on the great sleeping baby and she was still out. Before I left Kelly had came over and declared an oath that he was swearing off the beach and that his new home for the rest of the trip would be the pool. I am serious it was great. Perfect tempature ...jets going...a little shade....a privacy fence. Before I could go across the street to go get the baby I had to swear and LIE and tell everyone how horrible the pool was. IT DIDN'T WORK! :0) Before too long the whole gang was around the pool and thats where we stayed for the next few days. Mason had the best time in the pool. I think the adults had a great time TORMENTING the kids! Watch the end of the video where Mason swims and Terri slaps Uncle Kelly for Taking her Bippy (pacifier)!! SOrry the video is 5 minutes long...it really is good! :-D
Ohh and I got home to a SUPER clean house...the house was clean when we left but CLint detailed the house. Fully dusted, windexed, clean sink, floors, bathroom, etc. I'm so proud of my big stupid. We missed him so much.
Monday
The family (some of them at least!)
girl for sure!! "Ready go...." That hat really pissed her off...too bad
she has it for 5 more years! (you can change the numbers 1-5!!)
Can you hear Andreas son Caleb (about half way thru)
"Happie Birfdayyy to uuu"
Terris' birthday song should have been "It's my party I
can cry if I want too. . ." You have to watch to the end!!
Home girl was a HOT mess!! She was so emotional
Saturday. . .I'm gonna hate it when she gets bigger.
Terri just learned how to throw herself on the floor.
Its sad but Clint Mason and myself will laugh. If you
set her down while she's crying she will just throw
herself on the ground untill you came back(we don't)
and pick her up. DRAMA QUEEN!! I've got to get it on
video!
Oh and I'm going to do a review tomorrow on . . .
A Customized Flower Headbands by Matica Designs
and on Wednesday I'll
new Mei Tai and how inexpensive they are and well made!
