Why do children love bugs so much?

Odd title? not really huh? I mean Terri is a "girly girl" but she will sit there and watch a bug FOREVER!!! Certainly my kids aren't the only ones?

My question is this....are their any kids that don't like wiggly, creepy crawly things?

If your wondering...my daughter also likes to fall on her face. nice huh? These pictures were taken last month after coming home from my fathers house. Upon arriving home yesterday (M & T both went to PawPaws yesterday b.c I was busy vomiting all day. A stomach bug) she AGAIN fell on her face and has identical markings.

Our secret hide out!

what happens to your family if you babysit OTHER peoples children everyday? (from 7-6?) It gives you no time! It IS a full time job to raise children. (throw a couple extra in there and I consider it TIME AND A HALF! I know what my pay SHOULD be.) I do really love my job, it permits me to stay at home with my kids; to be the guiding force in their wild and wacky lives. BUT with kids in and out of my house all day long it does put a strain on the time that I typically would be committing to my babes.

...you have the cooking, cleaning, nose/butt wiping, refereeing job to not only your own two kids but now two more [two year olds to boot].

SO If I can't sneak to our hiding place at least an evening or two each week than I'm a pretty crappy mom. By my standard of course.

So we go play...

Then we go home to get money and change a pee-pee girl...

Oh those darn ice cream trucks, Mason lays the guilt on THICK when he starts to hear the music...
"MOMMY REMEMBER I HAD TO SHARE MY LAST SNACK PACK WITH KRISTOPHER??" ::shouting at me from a limb on a dangerously high tree:: "I NEED Ice Cream!!"

So we (typically) enjoy some ice cream....REALLY messy ice cream. That they share ;-)

Yeah I know alot of videos, but it makes up for lost time. I love sneaking away (across the street) to our neighbors hide out. The neighbors grandchildren are blessed to have a grandfather with such talent. I swear it feels like Swiss Family Robinson. I don't know if you can see it in the pictures but that is the club house that everyone wanted as a child.

My little Prisspot

Mason teaching Terri to "swim"
(5 inches of water DOES indeed count)

Tisses. cute!

Yep we went to Carowinds with....TRISTAN. ha!

Can I just say that two -2 year olds and a 5 year old (even with 2 grown ups) is WORK!

Thursday

Military Daycare...is 2 TOO early?

My concept:

IF I can get them to walk together sooner or later it will be beneficial, yes?

sure...

right?

OKAAAY OKAY... its just cute!

Tristan wasn't too keen on the idea. Katherine cuddled him.

Sunday

Sundays are meant to rest for a reason!

I was CON'd into going to Carowinds today after church. THEY TRICKED ME! My friend Mandie and her husband Craig used their kids and Mason to plot against me. ::laughing::

I got out of church to hear my phone ring and Mandie on the other end asking..."you ready yet?"

I'm such a pushover. BUT Mason gave me that face. Ya know.... the one thats so hard to say NO TOO...

So here is how the rest of our day went.

Fun Fun

Terri used her "face" to win over one ride operator, and she got to ride 5 or 6 times in a row. (*the pictures at the top of the post*) (there weren't many kids in line so she would have got to ride again anyways.)

Can I take the rest of the week to nap? :o) nope. k don't say I didn't at least ASK!

Saturday

Day of FUN in the Sun! - Carowinds edition

Yeppers, we got our seasons passes yesterday! Can I tell you how TIRED I WAS!!! lol

Mason and Myself went with his friend Madeline and her mommy to CAROWINDS! whoo hoo! fun fun. We got our season passes and plan on taking the kids once or twice a month (DURING THE WEEK to beat the weekend lines)

The kids had a blast. I on the other hand found out one thing....I am OBVIOUSLY OUT OF SHAPE! No wait. I'm a mom. I can't be out of shape. Okay Okay I didn't get to finish my coffee this morning THAT explains it!

RE-CAP of my morning...
I got woke up by my five year old at 5 am!!! YIKES! I was too excited to sleep so I know he had the same issue! Unfortunately I couldn't go back to sleep so I gave Mason my spot in the bed. I went ahead and got up at 7 and made my coffee. NOTICE I didn't say DRANK my coffee. Around 8ish I went to my friend Mandies to get my bookbag. (she went back to night school and borrowed it a few months ago.) After sitting with her WHILE SHE DRANK HER COFFEE I played with her youngest. THEN I went by my dads house (to get Masons smaller booster seat) then by the grocery store for some milk. Then home to make bacon and egg english muffins and pack our lunches.

Terri stayed the day with Lydia and Cari while we were gone. That will be my plan for the first few trips is to leave Terri with either Clint or a sitter. Just until the water park opens. Terri is only big enough for a handful of rides so I won't torture her with all those lines and that LONG DAY!

Did I mention that it was in the mid 70s all day? GORGEOUS day outside!!

The highlight of my day was when I had my baby (yes he is 5 but he is still my baby so THERE!) sitting on a banister and I saw food in his teeth. I went to pick it out and ....... HIS TWO LITTLE BOTTOM TEETH WERE LOOSE!!! aweeeee! I squealed. Literately. I think I'm more excited then he is. He keeps walking up to me and asking (before he wiggles them) mommy is it this one? Like he isn't sure where yet. cute cute!

OH the OTHER highlight of my day was when we left the park and went by STARBUCKS FOR Caramel Macchiato...mmmmm....yummy! THAT might be why I didn't go to sleep till 2 am!!

Since I took the camera with me I don't have any pictures to post of Terri for the day EXCEPT the one of when we got home. Right before the camera died. In her outfit that Cari and Lydia put her in. CUTE!

Did I mention that I was tired and that my HUSBAND got home and went to sleep at 5:30 till 8:30? So I played outside with the kids and dogs from 7 till about 8:30. HENCE the reason Clint woke up at 8:45. whoops. :-D

LONG VIDEO OF THE DAY>>>

Monday

New Gown and a broken plant.

I guess I explained all in the title of the post, huh?

My mother in law bought Terri a gown this weekend. TOO CUTE!

She'll tell you allllllll about the frog on it. she rambles like her mamma!

**********

Today while Mason was helping me plant around the mailbox Lydia came over. [I had just set all my inside plants out on the porch so that they could get some sun.] WELL LYDIA let Louie out, in doing so she triped over him and fell on my plants. The plant that got the worst end of it was my favorite. She thought it was a GREAT idea just to stick the broken pieces back in the dirt. :-(

BEFORE................................................... AFTER!

We did get alot accomplished while Terri napped.
Flowers in my two planters.

Flowers around the mailbox
Flowers in pots. :-D

I think I'm going to paint either our house number on the pot around the mailbox post or our last name.

Which would you do?

Now I just have to sweep off the porch and around the mailbox, and try to get all the pink chaulk from everywhere too.

I like to take SOME of my inside plants and put them on the green stand in the spring. But not too early b/c they might die! ;-)

Tuesday

Park with the moms....and pastor

A couple of the moms got together at the local park. This was a wonderful opportunity for Christian fellowship among the women of the congregation. BUT I'm pretty sure the meteorologist was a bit off!! I don't think the forecast called for rain. BUT we made the most of it.

Let me count . . .there were about 9 moms (one dad) and....27 kids! (MOST OF WHICH are little girls!!!!) We basically staked our claim to the park. As the rain came the kids weren't at all effected. The moms (and dad) all headed for the shelter. Most of the kids came too. FOR A MINUTE, but once one or two went out in the drizzling rain they all began too. It wasn't that bad. Kristopher hung out with me (I HAD THE FOOD) and then he took over Michealas (the pastors youngest daughter) stroller and blankie. He got quite a nice nap, meanwhile Ms. Terri was strapped onto Keziahs back in the mei tai (napping).

I got only a few shots of Mason with his friends before my camera died. Mason is of course the ONLY child that brings toys from home to the park. He is sooooo thoughtful to make sure he had one for each friend . . .even little Cooper(3). Cooper is the the lit'l guy in the red jacket. He is the associate pastors son. His mom SUNI is Masons Sunday school teacher and she likes to DIP MY SON IN RED PAINT IN HIS NEW WHITE OLD NAVY COLLARED SHIRT! ;-) HA you've been waiting on that haven't you??? ::snickering:: *(that was just for Suni...I'm only kidding with her, HE got some red paint on his shirt...NOT HER)*

Wednesday

My kids are Trespassers!!

Yep! They can't seem to stay out of my neighbors yard! I had to take an important phone call today, so I wouldn't wake Kristopher up I stepped outside with Terri. NOTE: She was still in her jammies at noon! So I am yapping away with the insurance man and Terri is vrooming a car around under my feet when my neighbor Donna goes by. Terri dropped that car and RAN! She wanted to go see HER Ms. Donna!

About the time Kristopher wakes up and has his snack Terri is yelling OUT OUT! SO . . .we go out. Where does Mason head? Nic Nics (Donnas son)house! Okay so I guess where gonna go over there!

I had 3 kids to start, then Donnas 4 come outside....Then 2 more come from up the street, then a stragler gets home a little late and runs down. 10 kids out of no where!

Mason rode NicNics old tricycle, Terri and Kristopher rode *(got pushed in)* Nic Nics power wheels! You'd think that Mason would wanna ride his new bike, or that the Gator would be fun, you know the ONE I HAVE AT OUR HOUSE. NOPE...the little trespassers love the Ms!
