The workload is UNREAL!

seriously now....my Kindergartner has a writers cramp! He's been doing homework non stop for over an hour and a half! His weekly package, words, (phonograms) letters, numbers(counting by 2s), read his nightly book and then on top of that he has a library book that has to go back tomorrow. ::wheew::

his reward?

Nutter Fluffer sandwiches for Dinner!!! A creamy concoction of peanut butter and marshmallow cream stuffed to extreme in between two pieces of bread!!! MMmmmmm

The workload is ridiculous...the sandwiches, I've never heard of, but they look sooo good...I may have to try one.

Ok, so wait until 3rd grade. The homework is ridiculous! It takes all I have not to call the teacher and ask EXACTLY what they do at school all day! Evidently they don't learn. They do all that at home! I'm thinking I am paying taxes to the school for daycare during the day, and homeschooling at night. UGH>

You are right! I should have clarified that! Now all of my "teacher friends" are going to be mad at me! Oh well, nothing new about that! lol.

so stupid. The homework, not the sandwiches!! Did you know that studies have shown that homework is ineffective and unnecesary until middle school? Well, schools don't care I guess. I'm sick of homework ruining our family time together. Stupid, I tell ya!

I'm guessing your kid goes to a better school than mine. Our Kindergarten teachers don't give homework, but they somehow manage to fit in movie watching everyday.

Small town, small school, underfunded, underpaid teachers. I'm thinking of homeschooling. Wait...no scratch that.
